Home-Start
supports families who are finding it difficult to cope with the stresses of
bringing up a young family. Trained volunteers visit families in their
own homes. They offer time, friendship and help with the everyday
difficulties that parents with young children face. The support is
available to any parent or carer with at least one child under 5.
A registered charity (number 1010063), Home-Start UK was established in
1973. The Canterbury & Coastal Scheme, based in East Kent, was opened
in 1992 and supports families in the Canterbury, Herne Bay, Whitstable
and Faversham areas. |
